WWE is preparing for a blockbuster start to WrestleMania 42, which takes place this weekend in Las Vegas, featuring a stacked Night 1 card with championship matches, celebrity involvement, and major career implications.
The event will feature 13 matches across two nights, with Night 1 headlined by a major championship clash between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
A dramatic storyline has added further tension to the main event, as Pat McAfee was revealed as the voice influencing Orton. Reports indicate McAfee’s future in wrestling is on the line, as he will leave the industry if Orton fails to win the title.
The women’s division will also take center stage with multiple championship bouts. Stephanie Vaquer defends the Women’s World Championship against Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan, while AJ Lee puts her Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against former champion Becky Lynch.
In the Women’s Tag Team Championship match, champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend will defend their titles in a fatal four-way match against teams featuring Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, and the duo of Nikki Bella and Brie Bella.
Elsewhere on the card, Seth Rollins is set to face Gunther in a highly anticipated singles match, while Jacob Fatu meets Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned bout expected to be physically intense.
Celebrity involvement will also feature prominently, with Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed teaming up to face The Usos and LA Knight.
With multiple championships on the line and several high-profile rivalries reaching their peak, Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 is expected to deliver one of the most unpredictable nights in recent WWE history.
