On Friday, the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) announced the draw of the CAF Champions League. Two Egyptian teams will participate in the tournament: Al Ahly, and Pyramids.
The 11-time champions were picked among Group D teams, alongside Algerian Chabab Belouizdad, Tanzanian Young Africans, and Ghana’s Medeama.
On the other hand, Pyramids were selected among Group A to play against two former Champions TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
The group stage contests will take place between November and March as each round will consist of two legs.
The top two teams of each group will advance to the quarter-finals which will start in March.
