Get to Know Egyptian Super Cup Regulation to Decide the Winner

Zamalek will clash against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup on Friday.

The game will take place at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium for the 19:00 kick-off.

The Egyptian Super Cup regulation says if the the match result ends in draw, the two clubs will play an extra time, consisting of two sets, each half will last for 15 minutes.

If the draw result continues, the two clubs will play penalty shootouts.

The White Knights will partake in the game as the champions of the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup for the 2020-21 season, while Al Ahly will take part in the tournament as the Egyptian League runners-up.

The White Knights kicked off their adventure in the 2022-23 Egyptian League by securing two wins.

They managed to defeat Smouha 2-0 in the opening game, before beating Ceramica Cleopatra with the same result in matchweek 2.

On the other hand, Al Ahly maintained their 100% start of the Egyptian League by securing a 1-0 win over Ismaily in matchweek one, before pulling off a 1-0 hard-fought victory over Aswan in matchweel two.
