Qatari Al Duhail.. Get to Know Al Ahly's Opponent in FIFA Club World Cup

Al Ahly SC are set to play their first game in FIFA Club World Cup on the 4th of February, 2021, against Qatari champions Al Duhail SC.

The competition’s draw took place on Tuesday at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich.

The Red Devils qualified to the competition after defeating their arch-rivals Zamalek SC in the CAF Champions League final achieving their ninth African title in the club's history.

Al Ahly will participate in the competition for the sixth time, to be the second most participated team in the competition’s history, according to the Red Castle's official website.

This is the first game that brings Al Ahly and the Qatari team together, and here are 4 interesting facts about Al Duhail SC, as published by Al Ahly official website:

1- Al Duhail SC was founded in 2009 as Lekhwiya and then it was renamed as Al Duhail SC and managed to establish themselves as one of the biggest clubs in Qatar.

2- The Qatari champion will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time as the champions of the host nation's league.

3- Al Duhail won 7 Qatar Stars League titles, 2 Qatar Cup titles, 2 Shiekh Jassem Cup titles, 3 Emir of Qatar Cup titles, and one Crown Prince Cup title.
