The AFC Asian Cup 2027 draw has officially placed 24 national teams into six competitive groups, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated editions in the tournament’s history.
The competition will be held from January 7 to February 5, 2027, under the supervision of the Asian Football Confederation.
Group A features Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Palestine, with the opening match set to bring added attention as the hosts aim for a strong start.
Group B includes Uzbekistan, Bahrain, North Korea, and Jordan, while Group C brings together Iran, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, and China in a highly competitive lineup.
Group D sees Australia, Tajikistan, Iraq, and Singapore, while Group E includes South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and either Lebanon or Yemen depending on qualification status.
Group F completes the draw with Japan, Qatar, Thailand, and Indonesia, creating one of the toughest groups of the tournament.
The opening match of the competition will feature Saudi Arabia against Palestine on January 7 at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, marking the official start of the 19th edition of the continental championship.
Defending champions, Qatar enter the tournament after winning the last two editions, having secured titles in 2019 and 2023, as they look to continue their dominance in Asian football.
