AEW Full Gear 2025, presented by DC Comics, delivered a massive night of high-stakes action from the Prudential Center, marking the seventh annual edition of the event and the second consecutive year AEW brought Full Gear to Newark.
The show featured 13 matches, including four on the “Tailgate Brawl” pre-show, and showcased championship drama, returns, breakout performances, and seven-figure cash prizes.
In the final match of the evening, billed as part of a double main event, Samoa Joe defeated “Hangman” Adam Page inside a Steel Cage to claim the AEW World Championship.
Joe overpowered Page in a physically punishing bout, securing another defining world title moment in his storied career.
The penultimate match saw Kris Statlander successfully retain the AEW Women’s World Championship, defeating Mercedes Moné in a 23-minute showdown that mixed technical precision with high drama.
In one of the night’s most dramatic stories, Mark Briscoe defeated Kyle Fletcher in a No Disqualification match to win the AEW TNT Championship.
Had Briscoe lost, he would have been forced to join The Don Callis Family. Instead, he leaves Newark with championship gold.
The high-octane Casino Gauntlet match crowned its inaugural AEW National Champion, as Ricochet pinned Kevin Knight to secure the new title after a 22-minute sprint of fast-paced eliminations.
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) captured their record-tying third AEW World Tag Team Championship, defeating Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) in a hard-hitting 20-minute contest.
In a match with a massive cash prize on the line, The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander defeated Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) to claim $1,000,000.
The team of “Timeless” Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa, known as the Timeless Love Bombs, triumphed in a Four-Way Tag Team Match to earn the right to select the stipulation for their semifinal bout in the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
Representing CMLL, El Sky Team (Místico, Máscara Dorada & Neón) successfully defended their CMLL World Trios Titles, forcing Kazuchika Okada to submit in a heated inter-promotional clash.
Pac scored a tough victory over Darby Allin, winning by pinfall after nearly 17 minutes of relentless offense.
In the Tailgate Brawl pre-show, the Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn & Juice Robinson) emerged victorious in a $200,000 Four-Way Tag Team Match, defeating The Acclaimed, Big Bill & Bryan Keith, and The Outrunners.
The event was also marked by the return of Swerve Strickland, signaling new storylines ahead as AEW moves toward the end of the year.
