The Spanish side looked sharp in the second half, and despite Juventus pushing hard in the final 20 minutes, Madrid’s defense, anchored by Thibaut Courtois, held firm. Michele Di Gregorio was also impressive for Juventus, making key saves throughout the match to keep the margin slim.

The German side’s win did come with a downside: Jobe Bellingham picked up a yellow card that will rule him out of the quarter-final against Real Madrid—where he would have faced his brother Jude.
