Day 15 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup delivered a thrilling round of 16 spectacle, with European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich advancing in dominant fashion. Fans witnessed two fast-paced, high-scoring clashes.

Paris Saint-Germain 4–0 Inter Miami

PSG dismantled Inter Miami 4–0, while Bayern Munich edged Flamengo 4–2. Both matches were marked by standout performances, dramatic momentum swings, and a flood of online reactions, especially from fans who flooded timelines with sharp commentary and memes.

The evening began with a heavily anticipated matchup between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Miami—a showdown that pitted the French champions against Lionel Messi’s side. Yet, what was billed as a competitive fixture quickly turned into a one-sided affair. João Neves opened the scoring just six minutes in, and PSG never looked back.

Neves added a second goal in the 39th minute, while an own goal from Inter Miami’s Tomás Avilés in the 44th, and a smooth finish by Achraf Hakimi just before halftime (45+3′), buried the hopes of Messi and his team. By the end of the first half, it was already 4–0, with PSG easing into the quarterfinals without breaking a sweat.

PSG’s victory was a statement. The French side completed 73% of possession, had ten shots on goal in the first half alone, and restricted Inter Miami to zero attempts during that period.

João Neves was particularly electric, while Hakimi’s goal added flair to a team that looked every bit like a champion. For Inter Miami, it was a night to forget—particularly for Lionel Messi, who tasted defeat in the Club World Cup for the first time in his career.

PSG's victory also marked the heaviest loss ever suffered by a CONCACAF team in the tournament.

Flamengo 2-4 Bayern Munich

Later that night, Bayern Munich and Flamengo treated fans to a far more balanced yet equally exciting contest. Bayern came out swinging, capitalizing on an own goal by Erick Pulgar and a clinical strike by Harry Kane in the opening ten minutes.

Flamengo showed resilience, with Gerson pulling one back, and later Jorginho converting a penalty to make it 3–2. However, Bayern's class prevailed—Leon Goretzka’s pre-halftime goal gave them breathing space, and Kane sealed the result with his second goal of the night in the 73rd minute. The win set up a blockbuster quarter-final: PSG vs. Bayern.

Bayern’s approach combined German efficiency with individual brilliance. Kane’s brace not only made him the tournament’s top scorer so far but also marked a milestone: 40+ goals for a second consecutive season, a feat no other Englishman has achieved. Goretzka and Kimmich orchestrated the midfield, while Flamengo’s physicality kept things tense until the final whistle.
