On Thursday, Germany's 1st National Football team coach Julian Nagelsmann announced the squad of the team for the upcoming UEFA Nations League competitions.
The recently-announced list is the first after the international retirement of Gündogan, Manuel Neuer, and Thomas Muller, and the retirement of Toni Kroos after Euro 2024.
However, Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger was surprisingly not called by Germany manager Nagelsmann.
Mario Cotegana wrote: “Rüdiger and Nagelsmann decided together that the centre-back will be rested during the next international break due to the player's short holiday
“The plan is for Rüdiger to return to the national team in October.”
Regarding Germany's squad for the upcoming fixtures, it is as follows:
Goalkeepers - Oliver Baumann, Alexander Nuble, Marc Andre ter Stegen.
Defenders - Waldemar Anton, Benjamin Henrichs, Joshua Kimmich, Robin Koch, Maximilian Mittelstadt, David Raum, Jonathan Tah.
Midfielders - Robert Andrich, Emre Can, Chris Fuhrich, Pascal Gross, Jamal Musiala, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Angelo Stiller, Florian Wirtz.
