The Egyptian Football Association has officially appointed German referee Daniel Schlager to officiate the highly anticipated clash between Al Ahly and Pyramids, scheduled for Monday in the Egyptian Premier League title race.
The refereeing committee, led by Oscar Ruiz, confirmed the full officiating team for the match, assigning Schlager as the main referee. He will be assisted by Sven Waschitzki-Günther and Tobias Fritsch as assistant referees, while Martin Petersen will serve as the fourth official.
For video technology, Pascal Müller has been appointed as the VAR referee, with Katrin Rafalski assisting.
The decision to appoint a foreign refereeing team reflects the importance of the match, as both teams are competing for the top position in the league standings. Officials aim to ensure maximum neutrality and high officiating standards for one of the most crucial fixtures of the season.
