German Chancellor Announces Providing Ukraine with Weapons

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed that Germany has made a historic decision to supply Ukraine with weapons, and will continue to do so in the future, according to Russia Today.

The German chancellor said that his country has sent weapons to ukraine, and will continue in sending weapons , including heavy ones, explaining that it is important to avoid direct confrontation between NATO and Russia, pointing out that Germany is working in coordination with the allies.

The Russian presidency (the Kremlin) announced that the Ukrainian side has get out of the negotiation track, and therefore there is no need to talk about the possibility of preparing for a meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.

In response to a question about the importance of the meeting between Putin and Zelensky, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “Our position is very clear. Any meeting at the highest level must be well-prepared.”

Peskov added: “The Ukrainian side has get out of the negotiation track, and therefore there is no need to talk about the possibility of preparing for such a meeting. ”
