Egypt international Mostafa Mohamed has expressed his disappointment about Galatasaray’s season and vowed to work harder next year.

Mostafa Mohamed, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Turkey, has underperformed this campaign, scoring just seven goals in 27 league appearances.

The 24-year-old’s initial 18-month loan move from Zamalek to Galatasaray was turned permanent last December when he signed a three-year deal that runs until the summer of 2025.

“I am happy I scored a goal today but I am not happy about my performances,” Mohamed told Turkish newspaper Fanatik on Friday.

“I have to improve next season. I had injuries and my teammates were better. There were times when I could not get a chance to play.

“We [as a team] have to forget this season. We don’t want to remember it in any way.
