Turkish reports revealed on Wednesday that Galatasaray S.K expressed their interest in signing Arsenal

midfielder Mohamed El-Neny.

The reports also said El-Neny agreed to move to the Turkish side in this summer transfers, adding that both sides reached an agreement about the details of EL-Neny’s contract.

Taksim Newspaper unveiled that the Egyptian player, who participated with the Pharaohs in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, would go on loan to the Turkish side for a season with an option to buy the Egyptian Player.

Earlier, Reports uncovered that Sukru Handa, Galatasaray’s Chief Executive, was in Britain to negotiate with the Gunners about the deal.

The 27-year-old player made 17 appearances with the Gunners in the previous season, as he participated in eight games with his side in the 2018-19 premier league.

In July, West Ham coach Manuel Pellegrini expressed his interest in signing the Gunners’ player for £9 million, but the deal did not complete due to fans’ objections.

Pellegrini has tried to sign El-Neny in January, but the Gunners’ coach Unai Emery refused this move.

Elneny, who joined Arsenal in 2016 coming from FC Basel in a deal worth up to £5 million, failed to book his place in the Gunners’ starting eleven, especially since the arrival of Emery.

It is worth mentioning that El-Neny participated with the Pharaohs in the 2109 Africa Cup of Nations, but Egypt suffered a shock defeat from South Africa in the last 16 to exit the tournament.

He also led his national team to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, held in Russia, where he participated with Egypt in their three clashes in the group stage.
