Early Thursday, All Elite Wrestling confirmed FTR vs. Jeff Jarret and Jay Lethal for the AEW World Tag Team titles at Double or Nothing (DoN).
FTR, Lethal, and Jarret had different escalations over protecting Mark Briscoe, whose brother, Jay, died early this year, and teaming up with him.
All stars invaded the garden of the Briscoes to convince Mark to join any of the two conflicting sides, but Mark is still declining all efforts.
Jarret faced FTR Dax Harwood in a single match which ended with Jarret's victory. The two groups escalated once again and confronted each other until the match was set between them during the latest Dynamite episode (May 10, 2023).
The match was announced by Mark Briscoe who will be the special guest referee of the match.
This match is the second one to be announced for DoN, the second PPV for the AEW in 2023 calendar, which will take place on May 28.
