Prominent American writer Thomas Friedman said that Trump's proposal on displacing the people of Gaza will die on its own, explaining that it is unreasonable. How will 2 million people be transferred from the Strip? And how can the proposal be implemented to the end?
Friedman added, in an intervention during the Gaza and the Future of Peace and Stability in the Middle East conference, that there is an important role for the Arab countries to solve the Gaza crisis, stressing that they cannot raise their hands and leave Gaza for Netanyahu to decide its fate, referring to the position that can be reached during the emergency Arab summit in Cairo.
Friedman explained that the clash between Trump and Netanyahu is coming, explaining that the Middle East has become linked in the United States to investment in the Gulf, in addition to American interests linked to confronting China, which requires creating a large alliance that Washington needs to threaten the relationship with Netanyahu.
