Villa famously lifted the European Cup in 1982 before also winning the UEFA Super Cup in the same year.
Managed by Unai Emery, widely regarded as one of the competition’s greatest specialists, Aston Villa are seeking to continue English dominance in the Europa League after Tottenham Hotspur F.C. won last season’s title.
Emery is appearing in his sixth Europa League final. The Spanish coach has already won the tournament four times, three with Sevilla FC and once with Villarreal CF, while finishing runner-up with Arsenal F.C. in 2019.
