The 20th Century Studios released Thursday a new trailer and poster for Ryan Reynolds‘ new movie “Free Guy”.
Reynolds took to Twitter to promote the upcoming movie, saying: “#FreeGuy FINALLY hits theaters August 13th! Hallelujah! p.s. I love this movie so hard.”.
Jodie Comer may have put something inside me. Or Taika? Not entirely sure, but the wait to find out is almost over. #FreeGuy FINALLY hits theaters August 13th! Hallelujah! p.s. I love this movie so hard. pic.twitter.com/6s0wlVT41I

The comedy-action movie is directed by Shawn Levy and written by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn. It also stars Taika Waititi, Channing Tatum, Joe Keery, Jodie Comer, and others.
The plot centers around a bank teller Guy (Reynolds), who discovers one day that he is a background character in a game entitled “Free City”, which will soon be taken offline.
“Free Guy” was first scheduled to be released in the United States in July 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic and the increasing restrictions, the date has been postponed along with many other 20th Century Studios’ productions. Later on, the movie was rescheduled for December 2020 and then to May 2021.
