Free Entry to Military Museums on 47th October War Anniversary

The Egyptian Armed Forces decided to open the doors of military museums and sites across the country to all Egyptians, civilians, and military personnel free of charge on the occasion of the 47th October War Victory anniversary.

"In continuation of the celebrations of Egypt and the armed forces for the 47th anniversary of the glorious October victories, it was decided to open museums and military shrines (El Alamein Museum - Port Said Museum), according to a statement by the Egyptian Armed Forces.Free Admission to Military Museums on 47th October War Anniversary

It was decided also to open a display area for the October War Panorama and the National War Museum in the Citadel free of charge to the masses on Tuesday, October 6th on the condition of adhering to all preventive and precautionary measures.

"This decision comes within the framework of the armed forces keenness to spread awareness, military patriotic culture among young people, introduce them to the glories and heroics of the sons of Egypt as well as their sacrifices as a sacrifice for the homeland’s pride and dignity," the statement read.

Military Commanders Greet Sisi

On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of October War Victory, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki, sent a cable of congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

“It is my pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of October Victory, accomplished by October’s generation of the Armed Forces,” Zaki said in his congratulations’ message.

The Defense Minister noted that “October Victory is deemed as one of the greatest victories of the Arab nation in modern history.”
