The France national football team will take on the Colombia national football team at 9:00 PM today at Northwest Stadium in Maryland, United States, in their second friendly match as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

France head into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory over the Brazil national football team in an entertaining friendly played last Thursday at Gillette Stadium.

The French side have been drawn in Group Nine for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face Norway national football team, Senegal national football team, and a team emerging from the intercontinental playoffs, which include Bolivia national football team, Suriname national football team, and Iraq national football team.

Meanwhile, Colombia will compete in Group Eleven alongside the Portugal national football team, Uzbekistan national football team, and a playoff winner from New Caledonia national football team, Jamaica national football team, or DR Congo national football team.

The two sides have met four times since 1972. Their most recent encounter came in March 2018, when Colombia secured a 3-2 victory in an international friendly.

Both teams will be aiming to fine-tune their squads and build momentum as they continue preparations for the global tournament next summer.
