France Football to Announce 2024 Ballon d'Or nominees Tonight

Today, France Football magazine will announce the nominees for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.  

It will be the first time for nominees to miss the competition between Argenina's Messi, and Portugal's Ronaldo. 

Those two have dominated the stage for more than 15 years, but now, it seems that the awards are getting ready for fresh names. 

The votes are cast by 100 invited journalists from around the world, and they followed this criteria:

1. Individual performance, decisiveness and impressiveness

2. Collective performance and track record

3. Class and fair play

There are also two new awards for 2024 - Men’s Coach of the year, and Women’s Coach of the year.
