France Football magazine revealed Monday a list of the 11 best football players in history, according to 140 sports journalists from around the world, and named this historic squad "The Dream Team".
The historic squad was based on a 3-4-3 formation, and relied on the historical influence of each player during his career.
The list included the duo Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo only from the current era.
The list also included the Brazilian Ronaldo in the offense next to Messi and Ronaldo.
As for the midfield, it included 4 stars which are the Argentina legend Diego Maradona and Brazil legend Pelé, former Barcelona star Xavi Hernandez, and German Lothar Matthaus as a defensive midfielder.
In the defense line, the list included 3 players, they are Brazilian Cafu, German Franz Beckenbauer and Italian Paolo Maldini.
Legendary Russian goalkeeper Lev Yashin was included as the Dream Team's Goalkeeper.
It is reported that France Football is famous for awarding the Golden Ball award annually to the best player in the world, but it decided to cancel the award this year due to the outbreak of Corona virus.
