Students from 20 schools in France were evacuated on Monday and Tuesday due to the threat of a terrorist attack using explosive devices, according to AFP.
Ministry of National Education told AFP that around 20 institutes and high schools were affected by these online threats.
The ministry added that the student’s parents found these threats on “WhatsApp”, “Snap Chat”, and “ENT”, portal, which serves to connect parents, teachers and students.
According to a source from the Police, the threatening messages were sent on January 2-3 to the Student’s ENT accounts.
A source familiar with the investigation pointed out that it was an e-mail sent from a student’s account announcing the owner’s intention to bomb the institution.
It added that the owner of the account were suspended and arrested on Monday. He was then released after his account was hacked.
