France and Egypt are committed to facilitating an "immediate" ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, as well as ensuring the prompt delivery of humanitarian assistance to affected civilians, according to a statement released by the Egyptian foreign ministry on Monday.
In a recent telephone conversation, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty discussed the situation in Lebanon in detail.
They outlined the collaborative efforts of both nations to achieve an immediate ceasefire and to provide urgent relief in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis, as indicated in the statement.
Both ministers emphasized the necessity for "all parties" involved in the Lebanese conflict to adhere to UN Security Council resolution 1701 without any selectivity.
