The French company of Electricity de France has postponed maintenance work on two nuclear reactors for more than four months, putting pressure on its energy supply and neighboring countries.

And the company reported today, Monday, that the restart of its “Benley-2” unit has been postponed from January 29 to June 11, while its “Golvitch-1” unit has been postponed to June 11 from February 18, according to “Bloomberg” agency. American.

The statement indicated that the Chatinum-3 reactor was extended for one month until March 26, and the restart of the Chifu-2 reactor was postponed for more than a month until February 19.

The maintenance shutdowns, which were longer than planned, and the repair of unexpected pipe cracks, curtailed the nuclear production of "Electricity de France" and turned France into an energy importer at a time when it is usually a major exporter.

The grid operator in France has warned of potential power shortages during the colder months, as heating demand soars and utilities struggle with repairs to the reactors.
