Former professional wrestler, Daffney Unger passed away at the age of 46, the New York Post reported on Thursday.
The newspaper cited the official statement released by popular women's wrestling brand Shimmer, saying: "We are very sad to have to announce the passing of Shannon Spruill aka Daffney Unger. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time."
The cause of death is not confirmed until now, and no further details were posted.
It is worthy to mention that the late wrestling star sparked a controversy on social media after she posted a short video on Instagram while crying on Wednesday, that's why Police in Georgia tries to reach her place.
Unger's fans teased her need for urgent help as the video teased the wrestler in heart whelming suicidal mood.
She said in the video: "Do you guys not understand that I’m all alone.” Those few words drove various stars to attempt to reach her in a short time.

Former WWE star Mick Foley announced that he tried to reach her, tweeting: “my phone call went straight to voicemail.”
He added: “If anyone has a way of reaching Daffney Unger, or knows her address, please help out. She’s in a bad personal place and is threatening to harm herself.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also tweeted, “For those concerned about Daffney, emergency services have been contacted and sent to her most recent known address.”
Former professional wrestling star Velvet Sky posted: “My girl Daffney Unger is tough as nails! All my love to you. You are never ever alone. SO many people love you!! You are going to be ok, love! You got this!!"
