Former Algerian president, Abdul Qadir Bin Saleh, died on Wedensday, less than a week after the death of his predecessor Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

The Algerian presidency said the former interim president died at the age of 80, adding that his funeral will take place tomorrow, Thursday, after the noon prayer, at the El Alia cemetery in Algiers.

Furthermore, the Algerian National Assembly shared a minute of silence, "in tribute to the soul of the former president."

Bin Saleh held the presidency temporarily after the resignation of former President Bouteflika in April 2019 after street demonstrations rejected his plan to run for a fifth term.
