Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration made a telephone call with Mr. Konstantinos Kompos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus.
The contact came within the framework of coordination and permanent consultation between the two ministers and the specificity of the relationship that brings together the two countries, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration said.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration added that Abdel Aty stressed to his Cypriot counterpart Egypt’s keenness to strengthen economic and trade relations with Cyprus in various fields, and the importance of advancing cooperation between the two sides in new fields that achieve the economic interests of the two countries.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that the two foreign ministers stressed their joint keenness to intensify efforts to avoid the escalation of violence and instability in the region, and to continue communications to find out the latest developments in this regard.
