FM receives phone call from turkish counterpart

Foreign minister Badr Abdel Aty received today, Sunday, a phone call from his turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, to congratulate him on  assuming his new position, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration said.

The official spokesman added that Fidan stressed during the call the depth of the close relations between the two countries, expressing his aspiration for joint work with Minister Abdel Aty in order to push towards strengthening aspects of cooperation between Egypt and Turkey at various levels. He also stressed the keenness to continue mutual coordination to confront challenges at the regional and international levels.

On his part, Abdel Aty praised the historical ties between the two brotherly countries, emphasizing the keenness of the Egyptian political leadership to achieve further advancement of Egyptian-Turkish relations in all fields, as well as coordinating visions and positions on all regional and international issues of common concern, whether at the bilateral level, or through multilateral frameworks, in a way that contributes to achieving the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples, and aims to ensure the security and stability of the region.

the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration also expressed his aspiration to work together with Minister Fidan to continue the process of strengthening relations, and to benefit from the momentum witnessed in relations between the two countries.
