Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met with Michael Waltz, the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations and former US National Security Advisor, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly.
The two sides emphasized the depth of cooperation between Egypt and the United States within the framework of the United Nations, as well as the close coordination between the two countries' missions in New York. They also agreed to continue strengthening consultations on issues of mutual interest on the international scene, most notably the promotion of international peace and security, support for peacekeeping and peacebuilding efforts, and administrative and financial reform and development at the United Nations.
