He stressed the critical importance of Israel’s positive response and implementation of the proposal in order to address the current crisis, alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, and ensure the flow of sufficient humanitarian aid.
Moroever, Abdelatty warned that Israel’s continued expansion of its military operations would only exacerbate the already dire situation, and that its rejection of proposed initiatives undermines regional and international efforts aimed at peace and stability.
On the Iranian nuclear file, Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of returning to the negotiating track to reinforce regional and international security, pointing to the importance of resuming cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency to prevent further tension and instability in the region.
For his part, German FM expressed appreciation for Egypt’s vigorous efforts to achieve a ceasefire and secure humanitarian access to Gaza.
He commended Egypt’s initiative to host the early recovery and reconstruction conference, confirming Germany’s readiness to participate.
He also agreed on the grave risks posed by Israel’s expanded military operations in Gaza and the severity of the humanitarian crisis within the Strip.
