Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdelatty met with Malik Agar, Deputy Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, during his visit to Port Sudan on Wednesday.
FM emphasized the historical ties between the two countries and their peoples, reiterating Egypt's support for Sudanese institutions, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
He affirmed Egypt’s commitment to making all possible efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people and to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Sudan.
Moreover, Abdelatty highlighted the facilities provided by Egypt to Sudanese citizens to ease their stay in Egypt until they can safely return to their homeland. This includes the recent arrangement to hold Sudanese high school exams for the Sudanese community in Egypt, in line with directives from the President of Egypt and as part of the country’s commitment to supporting Sudanese students in continuing their educational journey.
