Florida Governor Ron De Santis' office said state officials plan to continue deporting immigrants to northern states via flights in protest of federal border policies, while correspondence revealed that transit flights may resume as early as December.

Democrats and immigrant rights groups have condemned the deportations as a "political ploy."
But Republicans and advocates of tighter border controls said the flights drew necessary attention to the pressures southern states face from the influx of unauthorized immigrants.
