Florentino Pérez Re-Appointed as Real Madrid President

On Monday, Real Madrid has announced the renewal of President Florentino Pérez’s run until 2029.

Florentino Pérez, who head the club for the first time in 2000 and returned in 2009, is considered one of the most influential figures in the club's history.

The decision to extend Pérez’s presidency was unanimously agreed upon by the club’s General Assembly, with no other candidates running for the position, reflecting the strong support he enjoys within the club and among its fans.

Under Pérez’s leadership, Real Madrid secured six UEFA Champions League titles.

He has also solidified the club’s position as one of the strongest globally, both in sports and economic terms.

Pérez oversaw the ambitious redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, transforming it into one of the best sports facilities in the world. 

He also ensured the club’s financial stability during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling Real Madrid to remain competitive in signing top players.
