Japan's NHK television reported on Friday that direct flights between Narita International Airport in Japan and Tel Aviv have resumed after a four-month hiatus due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
According to the broadcaster, Israel's El Al Airlines announced that the first direct flight to Tokyo took off last Wednesday following the decision to restart the flights.
The airline plans to operate three weekly flights during March and April due to increased demand.
