First Smart Lithium Battery Factory Launched in Egypt

‏Chloride Egypt announced the opening of the first smart lithium battery factory in Egypt during the third quarter of this year, as part of a joint venture with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) and Blue Eye Factory.

Tarek Shaabi, Managing Director of Chloride Egypt said that the company's strategy for the next phase is concerned with injecting significant investments in the lithium battery industry sector.

This comes in fulfilment of its policy aimed at keeping pace with global trends that are witnessing a major transformation in the vehicle industry in particular and energy solutions in general.

The company expects an increase in demand for lithium batteries in Egypt and the region driven by the growth of the environmentally friendly transport industry powered by electricity in light of the keenness of many sectors to activate transformation initiatives for the green economy.
