35 out of 300 Egyptian doctors traveled to England yesterday to undergo professional training on the British health insurance system.

This was in line with a protocol of cooperation that was signed in January between Britain and Egypt to get benefit from the best health insurance system world-wide before establishing the comprehensive insurance system in Egypt.

Minister of Health Hala Zayed, Governor of Port Said Adel al-Ghadban and the British Ambassador to Egypt Sir Geoffrey Adams were there at Cairo International Airport to say good bye to the first batch of passengers.

Training period will last for about 1 week and Egyptian doctors will be totally informed with mechanization, insurance system and family medicine fundamentals in England.

After returning back to Egypt, the trained doctors are supposed to train all medical teams in new health insurance hospitals in the presence of British head nurses to develop an operating system according to the international quality standards.

On his part, the British ambassador stressed that his country is ready to contribute to Egypt's vision of providing a high quality health system for Egyptians.
