Siere A side Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove was discharged from hospital, the club announced on Friday, after undergoing surgery to implant a heart starter device.
Early this month, Bove collapsed without having any encounter with any player on the pitch during the game between Fiorentina, and Inter Milan. Medical personnel rushed towards Bove within seconds, therefore the match was suspended while players from both teams made their way to the changing rooms.
He underwent the operation on Tuesday, and the club confirmed his release from the hospital without adding any details.
According to Italian media reports, the 22-year-old will be able to decide whether to keep the device or remove it.
