The release date for Egyptian stars Asser Yassin and Amina Khalil’s film “Shamrekh” has been pushed back.
The cast also includes Khaled El Sawy, Mohamed Tharwat, Sally Hammad, and Adam El Sharkawy. “Shamrekh" is written and directed by Amr Salama.
The film was initially set to premiere during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon but was pushed back indefinitely following the death of actor Moustafa Darwish last May.
Darwish passed away before shooting all his scenes in the film. He had only 3 days left until principal photography wrapped production.
The late actor passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on May 1. He was 43.
Darwish's career peaked during this past Ramadan season when he starred in a number of TV series, including “Telt El-Talata”, “Serro Batea”, “X-Lance”, and “Kamel El-Adad”.
His TV credits also include “Bi 100 Wish”, D”ed El-Kasr”, “Kheyanet Ahd”, “Bayn El-Samaa w El-Ard”, and “Ayoub”.
