The release date for Egyptian stars Nelly Karim and Mohamed Ramadan's film "Ala Zero" has been pushed back.

The film was initially set to premiere during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon but was pushed back indefinitely.

The production company delayed the film to ensure it was developed in the right form as well as out of respect for the company's history and the cast of the film.

The move also comes with the company's desire to unify the film release in all theaters inside Egypt and abroad, at the same time giving it the best marketing campaign.

"Ala Zero" is scripted by Medhat El Adl, directed by Mando El Adl, and produced by El Adl Group.

Khaled El Sawy, Jumana Mourad, and Sherif Desouky will also star in the film.

The film revolves around a man in a bad financial situation, Hamza, known as Dragon, who has a sick child that needs medical treatment, however, he manages to become rich after entering the trade world.

The project marks Karim's comeback to the big screen after two years of absence. She made her last cinematic appearance in the 2021 film “Tuesday 12”.

Karim will next be seen in the third season of the TV series "Leh La".

It also stars Salah Abdullah, Aida Riad, Ahmed Tarek, Moataz Hisham, and others.

Director Nadine Khan helmed the series from a script by screenwriter Mariam Naoum and her team in the SARD workshop.

The series is set to hit the "Shahid" streaming platform on June 22.

"Leh La" focuses on the challenges and difficulties that Egyptian women face. Season one followed a character played by Amina Khalil, and season two followed a new story starring Menna Shalaby.

The series features Karim as divorced single mother Shery who is very attached to her son Yaseen. When she falls in love again, Yaseen’s jealousy over her proves to be an obstacle they must overcome together.

Karim sheds light with her work on issues related to women. She focused on the injustice women face in divorce courts in 2022’s "Faten Amal Harby", and discussed the conditions Egypt's female debtors - known as 'Gharemaat' - are subjected to on a daily basis in 2014's "Segn El Nesaa".
