FIFA World Rankings: Egypt Jump Three Places

On Wednesday, FIFA revealed the latest world ranking following the March international break, revealing that Egypt national team have jumped three places in the monthly rankings.

In the same context, the Egyptian national team are also next in line in 46th position, three places ahead of Ghana, while AFCON hosts Cameroon have dropped five places to 55th and are now trailed closely by continental giants Mali and Ivory Coast, according to FIFA.com.

On this basis, Egypt national squad became 6th in Africa and 4th among Arab teams in FIFA world rankings

Meanwhile, the Senegal team have retained their status as the highest-ranked nation from the African continent.

On the other hand, South Africa are only ranked 15th on the continent and 75th overall after dropping five spots following Bafana Bafana's failure to qualify for next year's showpiece competition.

In 2009, Egypt reached the top 10 of the FIFA World Rankings for the first time.
