FIFA is reportedly considering lifting Russia’s ban from international competitions, according to Sky News reported on Wednesday.
The decision would be reached today during the FIFA Council meeting, which would focus on lifting the ban for Russian teams to participate in the Under-17 World Cup.
Last week, the governing body of football in Europe Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced the lifting of the ban on Russian teams competing in all Russian teams in European competitions.The process of qualification for the U17 World Cup is based on performance in UEFA events.
