The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) cancelled contest between the Moroccan and Eritrean national football teams on November 16.
The scheduled game was part of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
FIFA confirmed the cancellation of the game due to the withdrawal of the Eritrean team, known as the “Red Camels,” which was announced two weeks ago.
The Eritrean Commissioner for Sports and Culture and supervisor of the National Football Association Zemede Tekle didn't confirm the participation in the qualifiers.
Eritrea’s withdrawal extends to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
