English star Raheem Sterling is facing a major setback at Feyenoord shortly after joining the Dutch club under coach Robin van Persie.

Feyenoord officially announced Sterling’s free transfer following a mutual contract termination with Chelsea FC, signing him until the end of the 2025–2026 season.

However, reports from Daily Sports indicate that Sterling was barred from attending training just 24 hours after the deal was completed due to an alleged disciplinary breach.

The club has launched an urgent investigation into Sterling’s conduct. If the allegations are confirmed, Sterling could face either an immediate contract termination or a lengthy suspension from all club activities.

Both Feyenoord officials and Sterling’s representatives have refrained from making official statements regarding the matter.

Dutch media also suggest that Sterling’s absence from training may partly be linked to delays in obtaining his work permit.

The situation casts uncertainty over his short-term future at the Rotterdam-based club.
