Brazil's Santos appointed former Zamalek head coach Jesualdo Ferreira on Monday as a new head coach until the end of 2020.

Ferreira will lead the Brazilian club, replacing the Argentinian Jorge Sampaoli, who was sacked on December 11.

The 73-year-old manager led the White Knights in the 2014-15 season as he guided them to claim the Egyptian league and Egypt Cup.

He was sacked after he lost the Egyptian Super Cup following the Whites' 3-2 loss from Al Ahly.

After leaving Zamalek, he was named as new head coach for Qatar's Al Sadd as the Portuguese led them to lift three trophies, before leaving the club earlier this year.

Former Zamalek coach had a stunning coaching career as he led Porto to claim the Primeira Liga for three consecutive years.
