Turkish giants Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Saudi club Al Ittihad to sign French international midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to reports by French newspaper L’Équipe.

The 34-year-old World Cup winner has been under contract with Al Ittihad until the summer of 2026, a situation that attracted interest from several European clubs.

Recent reports indicate that Kante favored a return to Europe in a bid to strengthen his chances of being selected for France’s squad at next summer’s World Cup.

Kante is said to have quickly agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce, paving the way for the transfer.

L’Équipe reported that the deal, finalized on Sunday, is valued at approximately €4 million, covering the remaining months of Kante’s contract with the Saudi side.

As part of the agreement, Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri is expected to move from Fenerbahce to Al Ittihad in a player-exchange arrangement.

Kante is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Istanbul-based club, bolstering Fenerbahce’s midfield as they continue their campaign in the Turkish Super Lig.

The move would mark Kante’s return to European football after his spell in Saudi Arabia.
