Swiss club FC Zurich have officially announced the appointment of Marcel Koller as the team’s new head coach starting from the 2026-2027 season.
In an official statement, the club confirmed a change in the technical staff as part of its plans for the future, with Koller set to take charge beginning June 1, 2026.
Zurich also revealed that current head coach Denis Hediger will leave his position amid ongoing sporting developments. The club expressed gratitude for his dedication and contributions in various roles and wished him success in his future career.
Until the end of the current season, Carlos Bernegger will serve as interim head coach.
The appointment of Koller comes as part of FC Zurich’s preparations for the upcoming campaign, with the experienced coach expected to lead a new phase for the team.
