Fawry Collaborates with B-Tech Appliances for Easier Transaction Methods

Fawry, the leading e-payment network in financial technology, announced a new agreement with B.Tech, the largest retailer for home appliances and consumer electronics in Egypt, to facilitate shopping and payments for B.Tech products through B.Tech website and application in cooperation with Fawry Pay.

Commenting on the new collaboration, Mahmoud Khattab "Chairman and Managing Director of B.Tech", said: “Our selection of Fawry Pay was a strategic decision as it offers convenient options and payment methods that makes it easier for our customers to enjoy an easy shopping experience and makes the whole payment process easier and advanced.

Khattab added: "Now customers are able to pay through more than 105 thousand Fawry outlets, mobile and bank wallets contracted with Fawry or pay online using credit cards, which are all considered various payment methods suitable for all our customers in different categories."

Mohamed Okasha, Fawry‘s Co-founder and Managing Director said: “The new cooperation between "Fawry Pay" and "B.Tec" adds a new feature in addition to the various payment methods which is the "Direct Debit" or automatic monthly debit from the customer's bank card, making it easier for the customer to go shopping, whether paying on a one-time or installments with B.Tech. This offers paying installments automatically on a monthly basis without the need to browse the site or the application every time, and this feature is optionally selected as desired by the customer."

Okasha stressed that the partnership with "B.Tech" is a fruitful partnership seeking to save customers' time and effort; the customer is now able to e-browse the products through B.Tech site and app and e-pay for it directly without the need to go to B.Tech Branches.

The collaboration between Fawry and B.Tech has begun since 2016, to make customers' e-payment operations easier; it began by paying "Mini Cash" installments from B.Tech through Fawry outlets. Then comes the partnership with Fawry Pay platform as a development of B.Tech app and site offering new various e-payment methods.

This partnership targets more than one million customers who purchase devices in installments through B.Tech 85 branches in 25 governorates, accounting for 5.5% of the 100 billion EGP annual sales of household and electrical appliances market.

FawryPay platform is provided by Fawry company to provide various services in e-commerce, including; Event management, Creating online stores for merchants, in addition to payment services for customers in various ways: cash payment in more than 105k outlets with Fawry logo, credit cards using (Visa, MasterCard or National Miza card), bank e-wallets, and through the customer's personal account in PayPal.
