Farida Osman Awards Cancer Patients with 9 of her Medals

World Class swimmer Farida Osman visited Baheya Hospital for Cancer treatment, fresh out of her triumphant performance in 2019’s African Games.

Osman visited the hospital alongside her father and was warmly received by Engineer Mage Hamdy, board member of Baheya. The hospital’s patients got the chance to talk to the Egyptian world champion in an atmosphere full of joy.

Osman, in a show of great humanitarian qualities awarded the cancer patients with 9 of her medals, which she received in various Swimming competitions.

Egypt’s swimming champion declared her joy of visiting cancer “Warriors” who are currently undergoing treatments in the hospital, she also expressed that she wished she had visited them sooner calling them the true champions.

“You are the true champions, not me I am willing to provide all the support needed to the hospital and the patients, Osman stated. The champion also stressed on the importance of females having constant early check-ups in order to negate the possibility of getting diagnosed with the deadly disease.

Osman recently won 4 medals in the 2019 African games currently held in Rabat Morocco. She won the gold medal of 100 meters butterfly, Gold in the 50 meters butterfly and Silver in the 100 meters freestyle and lastly Osman won the silver medal of the 50m freestyle.

She was able to win these medals shortly after her Bronze medal win in the 2019 FINA World Championships in the 50-meter Butterfly race.
