The English Football Association will consider Lionesses coach Sarina Wiegman as the successor of men team's coach Gareth Southgate if he departs his role as manager, FA Chief Executive Mark Bullingham said.
Bullingham said: "We think Sarina is doing a great job and hope she continues doing it for a long time. I think Sarina could do anything she wants in football."
Wiegman led England to the final of the current Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand and led the team to its first international title at Euro 2022.
In the same context, Graham Potter, Frank Lampard, and Eddie Howe were considered to replace Southgate, however, Wiegman's performances with the Lionesses qualify her to be the next in the line if Southgate decided to leave.
Southgate took the charge in 2016, and his contract expires after the upcoming EURO tournament.
