The Football Association (FA) has confirmed it is aware of a viral video showing two England Under-16 players involved in a physical altercation during an international camp in Turkey, describing the incident as an internal matter that was dealt with at the time.

The footage, which has attracted millions of views on social media, shows two youth players fighting inside a hotel room while several teammates watch, record the incident, and encourage the confrontation instead of intervening.

According to reports, the altercation took place during England's Under-16 training camp in Turkey in October 2025, where the Young Lions participated in an international tournament against Wales, Turkey, and Portugal.

The video shows one player pinning another onto a bed before exchanging punches and grappling across the room. Other members of the squad, wearing England training gear, can be heard shouting encouragement and filming the incident.

Following the circulation of the footage, the FA released a statement confirming its authenticity.

"We were made aware of an internal matter during an Under-16s camp in October 2025," an FA spokesperson said. "This was quickly resolved at the time."

The incident has sparked widespread criticism across social media, with many questioning why none of the players present attempted to stop the fight.

Calls have also been made for disciplinary action against those involved in recording and encouraging the altercation.

England's Under-16 side was managed at the time by Barry Lewtas, with the team defeating Wales 5-1 during the tournament.

The FA has not provided further details regarding any disciplinary measures taken following the incident.
